The English as a Second Language Program offered through the University of Massachusetts Division of Continuing Education is a non-credit program. The workshops offered are not for beginners, but rather for those students who wish to improve their English skills. All students who wish to register for ESL classes must take a placement test and have an interview before classes begin. Students may register for workshops after they have had their interviews. Part-time program in the evening: 3 classes in the fall, 3 classes in the spring, and 3 classes in the summer.
