DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Lifecourse Counseling Center is a community based agency serving the Connecticut River Valley and its neighboring environs. The Counseling Center is comprised of lesbian and gay clinicians who provide psychotherapy, education, and consultation. Our staff has expertise in working with a wide variety of issues. -Individual and Couples Therapy: in-depth and short-term therapy. Recovery from trauma, abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety and loss. Issues pertaining to HIV, questions about having children and more. Staff encourage client empowerment and demonstrate a caring straightforward approach that suits each person's individual needs. -Support and Therapy Groups: LifeCourse offers numerous groups. We have ongoing general groups as wellas others designed to respond to the current needs of GLBT people. Call for current group offerings. -Internship Program: for graduate students learning psychotherapy and undergraduate students who wish to learn about business and administration. -Resource and Referral Accepts insurance plans, but call LifeCourse recommends that you speak directly to them about your insurance plan and your personal goals to ensure that the services you recieve stem from your expectations, not from that of your insurance carrier.
