SAFEPLAN is MOVA's statewide, court-based program which provides specially trained and certified advocate to assist victims of domestic violence seeking protection from abuse. SAFEPLAN advocates help victims of domestic violence plan for their safety and obtain protective orders from the courts. In addition, they provide referrals to local support services, information on legal and safety options, and accompaniment to court proceedings. SAFEPLAN advocates are employed by local battered women's programs located in district and probate courts across the state. For local SAFEPLAN program advocates, call Mass.
