The Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence is the first and only Asian-specific domestic violence agency in the New England area. The Asian shelter and advocacy project for Asian families offers: -24 hour multilingual hotline and emergency shelter -advocacy for legal, healthcare, housing and public benefits -on-site English as a Second Language (ESOL) tutoring -parenting skills training and children's advocacy -individual counseling and support groups The Education and Outreach department offers: -workshops and presentations for teen dating violence -domestic violence 101 & 102 -cultural competency training for services providers, youth groups, schools and professionals It seeks to reduce the incidence of and tolerance to domestic violence in Asian communities and to increase responsiveness of mainstream communities to Asian battered families. The Lowell Asian Outreach and Advocacy Project provides multilingual outreach, advocacy and referrals to Lowell's Asian families. Project Safe is an outreach, education and prevention project. It seeks to reduce the incidence of and tolerance to domestic violence in Asian communities and to increase responsiveness of mainstream comminutes to Asian battered families. The Lowell Asian Outreach and Advocacy Project provides bilingual outreach, advocacy and referrals to Lowell's Asian families.
