-Confidential Shelter: We have a safe, 18 bed shelter for women and their children who have experienced domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Flexible 8 week maximum stay period.
-Counseling and Advocacy for Women: NELCWIT offers short term crisis counseling for women who have experienced physical, sexual and/or emotional assault/abuse.
-Counseling and Advocacy for Children: Child Safe Counselors for children ages 3-17 who live in rural Franklin County and have witnessed violence in their homes, schools or communities.
-Hotline: NELCWIT's hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call anytime for emotional support, information and resources.
-Legal Advocacy: Safe Plan advocates can assist women with legal matters relating to abuse, divorce, custody, visitation and related issues, including helping women to obtain restraining orders at the Greenfield and Orange courts.
-Support Groups: Held throughout the year on various topics such as assertiveness, sexual assault, relationship issues and more. Call for times and locations.
-Community Education: We offer information, resources, and workshops on domestic violence, sexual assault, teen dating violence and building healthy relationships.
Survivors Project: A community of support for women survivors of abuse and their allies. Free groups and activities, free child care, free lunch M-F. Located at 17 Long Avenue, Greenfield, MA 01301 (413)772-2414.
-Community Crisis Support Service: Support and assistance to communities and groups that have experienced violence, crime and other tragedies. Located in Greenfield: (413)772-0582 and Northampton: (413)586-6705
