Program/Service Notes:
Early intervention: Valley Infant Development (VIDS) helps children from birth to three years old, who have or are at risk of developmental delays. Assessment of a child abilities and if indicated development and individualization of a plan to promote the development of play, movement, communication, eating, dressing, toilet use and social interaction skills. Disability Resource program: Opportunities for development and growth. Barrier-free athletic & recreational activities offered throughout the year, including wheelchair basketball, wheelchair soccer, cycling, swimming, bowling, track and field and skiing. Adaptive equipment is available for loan. Advocacy and support groups are offered for individuals and families, as well as educational presentations for schools, community groups or businesses. Information and referral service also provides up-to-date information on important issues for the physically disabled.
