Tapestry Health Systems runs different programs such as: Family Planning and Community Health Services, Health Education & Training, Springfield North WIC, Safe Youth Programs and HIV/AIDS services. Those programs are located in several different places and offer various services including:
1. Birth control 6. Educational services
2. Medical services 7. Screening for STD's
3. Counseling services 8. Pregnancy testing (10 days after last UPI)
4. Referrals 9. HIV counseling and testing free anonymous testing-MOn. and Thurs.1-6; MSM Wed 1-4:30
5. Options counseling 10. Lesbian sensitive health care (LEAH project);
11. Smoking Cessation 12. Needle Exchange
13. Breast Health Project-provides free annual gyn exam, including clinical breast exam, pap smear, and referral for free mammogram to women over 40 with no health ins., and free diagnostic follow up for colposcopy, breast biopsy, etc for women thru the Project. Also for mothers, sisters, daughters, sons of women who have been diagnosed or died from breast cancer who may be under 40. This project operates in Hampshire and Franklin Counties but not Hampden or Berkshire.
Many services low cost, free, sliding scale.Accept: Mass Health, Tufts, Hampshire Health Access, Keep Teens Healthy Insurance. Does not accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield, etc., but patients who have those ins. can pay out of pocket, and apply for reimbursement from their ins.
