DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

Independent Living Centers (ILC) are private, nonprofit, consumer-controlled, community-based organizations providing services and advocacy by and for persons with all types of disabilities. Their goal is twofold; to create opportunities to promote independence and to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their maximum level of independent functioning within their families and/or communities.
Services offered to those differently abled. Services include:
1. Peer advocate counseling 5. Individual and group advocacy
2. Housing assistance and placement 6. Information & referral
3. Personal Care Attendant Program 7. Financial counseling
4. (In House) Service coordination 8. Community outreach
