DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: **Offices also located in Greenfield and Springfield** Independent Living Centers (ILC) are private, nonprofit, consumer-controlled, community-based organizations providing services and advocacy by and for persons with all types of disabilities. Their goal is twofold; to create opportunities to promote independence and to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their maximum level of independent functioning within their families and/or communities. Services offered to those differently able, servicing the needs of the individual. Programs include: 1. Peer Advocate counseling 2. Housing assistance and placement 3. Personal Care Attendant Program 4. Transportation services 9. Adaptive technology: grants for making home accessible 5. Individual and group advocacy 6. Services coordination 7. Information & referral 8. Financial counseling 9. Online Resources 10.Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services 11.Equipment loan programs
