DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

Independent Living Centers (ILC) are private, nonprofit, consumer-controlled, community-based organizations providing services and advocacy by and for persons with all types of disabilities. Their goal is twofold; to create opportunities to promote independence and to assist individuals with disabilities to achieve their maximum level of independent functioning within their families and/or communities.
Services offered to those differently able, servicing the needs of the individual.
Programs include:
1. Peer Advocate counseling
2. Housing assistance and placement
3. Personal Care Attendant Program
4. Transportation services grants for making home accessible
5. Individual and group advocacy
6. Services coordination
7. Information & referral
8. Financial counseling
9. Online Resources
10.Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
