- The mission of The Association For Community Living is to create opportunities, build relationships and improve lives for children and adults with developmental disabilities and for others who will benefit from our services. Creating opportunities, building relationships, improving lives for children and adults with developmental disabilities are the heart and soul of the work we do at The Association For Community Living. - The Association provides services to 1,648 children and adults with mental retardation, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities and we support 1,283 families in 89 cities and towns in Western Massachusetts. We serve all of Western Massachusetts and northern Worcester County with offices in Athol, Easthampton, Greenfield, Northampton, Pittsfield, and Springfield.
