The Dean of Students Office helps students resolve University related problems. Students who need help in negotiating our large campus can seek the advice of the Dean of Students, several professional associates, other full time staff and student employees. The staff is available to answer questions, advocate of behalf of students, or to point student and their families in the right direction to get problems solved.

- a single point of contact within the University for students and their families in times of crisis
- Counseling and referral for students contemplating withdrawal from or re-enrollment at the University
- Advising the honor societies Alpha Lambda Delta and Golden Key
- Short term emergency loans
- Veterans Affairs
- Implementing and monitoring the University Judicial System
- Campus Activities including Student Legal Services, fraternities and sororities, Commuter Resources, ALANA Affairs, Student Businesses
- Advocacy programs: Everywoman's Center, Jewish Affairs, and Stonewall Center
