Program/Service Notes:
The goals of Valley CDC's work focus on housing and economic development. The Valley CDC works to provide affordable housing as well as educational seminars to first time home buyers. The Valley CDC also provides technical assistance to businesses and facilitates access to small business loans. Valley CDC also offers foreclosure prevention counseling. This one-on-one counseling is available to homeowners throughout Hampshire County. There are no income restrictions. Foreclosure prevention includes extensive counseling around debt management and budgeting. We evaluate the homeowner's loan and explore all viable options, including negotiations directly with the lender for loan modification, refinancing with other lenders, or selling property. Provides single room occupancies through income eligible screenings.
