DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The R.O.S.E. (Regaining One's Self-Esteem) Fund is a Boston based national non-profit organization established in 1992 which helps end violence against women. The ROSE Fund is committed to helping women and children who have been victims of violence by supporting education and public awareness programs and by assisting individual women suriviors of violence and their children to rebuild their lives and regain their self-esteem. The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary ROSE Partnership: for the resonstruction of Faces and Self-Esteem. The purpose of this partnership is to help women heal he physical scares of abuse as well as the emotional ones. Regardless of a woman's inner strength, when she is injured or disfigured due to violence, the physical scars can be a constant reminder of the pain and suffering that was experienced. The Massachusetts Eye and Ear infirmary and the ROSE Fund hope to help these women erase these scars by means of reconstructive facial surgery. Eligibility: -must be self-nominated -have significant injury to face due to violence -must agree to release all required relevant information to be considered as a recipient of this program, by both the ROSE Fund and the Mass. Eye and Ear Infirmary. -must be able to verify that she has been out ofa dangerous situation for a significant period of time.
