VAWnet is the site to get fresh ideas. learn new approaches and network with others working to end violence against women. VAWnet is the National Electronical Network on Violence Against Women created by the National Resource Center to assist domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions and allied nationals in their work. VAWnet offers: -The VAWnet Library: The Library is a high-quality electronic resources open to the public. It serves as a repository for materials gathered by, commissioned for, and developed in VAWnet Forums. All files from the VAWnet Library can be searched, read, downloaded and printed. Users can search the library by collection, title or document type. The Library includes: *The law collection-links to legislation, documents and legal issues on violence against women *The periodical collection-links to articles and papers written on violence against women issues *The general collection-links to general information about violence against women *In the News-weekly updates and media reports on violence against women issues *Calendar-regularly updated national calendar of events on violence against women *Resource Room-lists online resources and links related to issues of violence against women -Technical Tips-an area where VAWnet staff highlight useful information about internet browsing, reformating files, site information gathering and much more. -VAWnet Forums-The VAWnet site also provides a private arena for domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions, national allied organizations and individuals working on issues of violence against women to discuss current issues, ask questions and get answers. The private forums allow for free flowing discussion and information sharing among colleagues. The forums are: *Applied Research-Discuss research findings and approaches that you can use in advocacy, public education and policy *Public Policy-Discuss public policy issues regarding violence against women *State Coalition-Dedicated to broad and varied issues of staff in state domestic violence and sexual assault coalitions. Includes job announcement, advocacy and general discussions *Information Building Systems-Provides information and support to state coalitions for electronic networking, data collection, protection order registries, etc.
