Program/Service Notes:
The Transitional Living Program was created to meet the post-crisis needs of battered women and their children who have separated from abusive relationships and are transitioning toward independence and lives free from domestic violence. Families may participate for up to one year and the TLP house can house up to five families at any one time. In addition, families who graduate from the program may receive follow-up services and continue to benefit from some TLP services on a limited basis.
Services Include:
-ongoing individual support services
-subsidized housing while in program
-personal goal setting and monitoring
-educational and skill-building services
-housing and legal advocacy
-access/referral to counseling services
-weekly support group
-supportive child care on a limited basis
-special activities for mothers and children
You can apply to TLP if you:
-have left your abuser and decided not to return
-are not actively using drugs and alcohol
-want the support of TLP services to help you in transition
-are able to meet program requirements
-have no more than two children
-are ready to live on your own
**TLP is not for you if you are just looking for housing**
