Program/Service Notes:
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The YWCA's Teen Transitional Living Program (TTLP) is a comprehensive residential program which provides parenting support services to teen mothers and their children in Springfield and Holyoke. The program serves young women between the ages of 13-20 who are receiving Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) benefits, but do not have the option of living at home. In group homes and structured apartment settings, 24-hour skilled staffing is provided to maintain a consistent supervision of residents and their children. Staff assist in the delivery of appropriate skill building and comprehensive case management services. In addition, residents have access to licensed child care and community-based educational services, leading to a high school diploma or GED.
