Fees: Accounts are $30 per semi-annual time period for students. Free for faculty/staff.

Program/Service Notes:
DESCRITPION OF SERVICES: -Academic Computing: provides services in direct support of instruction, research, and outreach. -Administrative Computing: focused primarily on the Student Information System project. -Computer Operations and Support includes the following five groups: 1. Computer Facilities Management administers centralized and departmental server systems. 2. Hardware Support provides maintenance, repair, and upgrade services for personal computers and peripherals. 3. LAN Support provides departmental network installations, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 4. PC Classroom Operations manages computer classrooms for instruction and open access. 5. Special Projects investigates and coordinates roll-out of new technologies. -Help Desk Services: provides a single point of access for OIT services and for computing questions and problem resolution, primarily through the Help Desk and Software Support offices. For Web assistance: www.oit.umass.edu/help/ -Information Management Services: develops and maintains a campus information infrastructure to facilitate information organization and sharing. -Network Systems and Services: manages and operates the campus-wide data network systems and services. -Telecommunication Services: provides high quality voice and data communications service to the faculty, staff, and students of the University.
