This program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to stabilize and assist individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis. We serve anyone who resides in Franklin County .
The Crisis Stabilization/Respite Team provides immediate and respectful support through our telephone hotline and face-to-face evaluations. An individual, friend, family member, or another community provider can request an evaluation. Based on the evaluation, a plan is developed which may include returning home with support, outpatient treatment, substance abuse treatment, day programs, inpatient care, and/or respite services. Our collaboration with family, friends and other helpers is an important part of the services we provide. Our Crisis Stabilization/Respite Team is comprised of experienced Master’s Degree-level clinicians including Psychiatric Nurses, Independently Licensed Social Workers with Psychologists, Psychiatrists from Clinical and Support Options and the Franklin Medical Center provide backup coverage at all times.

Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit
Our residential Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit provides 24 hour support for voluntary clients at risk to themselves or others, but who do not require the intensity of hospital level care. Our CSU/Respite Unit, located within Franklin Medical Center, is staffed by Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit Counselors and a Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit Manager.
Our program also provides in-home or community-based staffing for short periods of time to help assure a client's safety.
