Program/Service Notes:
This program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to stabilize and assist individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis. We serve anyone who resides in Franklin County . The Crisis Stabilization/Respite Team provides immediate and respectful support through our telephone hotline and face-to-face evaluations. An individual, friend, family member, or another community provider can request an evaluation. Based on the evaluation, a plan is developed which may include returning home with support, outpatient treatment, substance abuse treatment, day programs, inpatient care, and/or respite services. Our collaboration with family, friends and other helpers is an important part of the services we provide. Our Crisis Stabilization/Respite Team is comprised of experienced Master’s Degree-level clinicians including Psychiatric Nurses, Independently Licensed Social Workers with Psychologists, Psychiatrists from Clinical and Support Options and the Franklin Medical Center provide backup coverage at all times. Key benefits offered by Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit include: Round the Clock Response On-Site and Outreach Evaluations Triage and Referral Follow up and Discharge Prevention of Future Crises and Facilitation of Multi-Provider Crisis Protocols for Selected Clients Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit Our residential Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit provides 24 hour support for voluntary clients at risk to themselves or others, but who do not require the intensity of hospital level care. Our CSU/Respite Unit, located within Franklin Medical Center, is staffed by Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit Counselors and a Crisis Stabilization/Respite Unit Manager. Our program also provides in-home or community-based staffing for short periods of time to help assure a client's safety.
