DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Finex House is a battered women's shelter for battered women and their children who have disabilites. We are wheelchair accessible with two concrete ramps and an internal lift. Finex House also has a light coded signal system for deaf battered women and their children. Services: *Wheelchair Accessibility *Emergency Safe Shelter with 32 beds *24 hr Hotline *Attorneys to go with battered women to court *Housing Advocacy *Crisis Intervention *Emergency Response Services *Special Needs Advice *Child Advocacy and Support Programs (CASP) *7 housing vouchers for those families we shelter *Shelter Plus After Care Programs (S+P) *Sign Language, Spanish and Haitian Creole *Outreach and services for the Deaf *Self Esteem Groups *Parenting Groups *Two types of mental health therapy *Help with moving *Trauma Support and Counseling *Day Care *Substance Abuse Counseling *Rehabilitative Therapy *Elder services *AA groups *Finex House has developed the "Escape-A Handbook for Battered Women Who Have Disabilities"
