Is Community Engagement Part of Your Research, Teaching, and Service?

This program shows how community engagement can enhance your courses and research.  It provides workshops and presentations for faculty, staff, students and community partners with practical advice on the best ways to incorporate community engagement into research, teaching, and service. Techniques, suggestions, and strategies will be provided through:

  • Dialogue with national experts (authors and educators Tania Mitchell and John Saltmarsh) and experienced UMass faculty and community partners;
  • Presentations showcasing successful community engagement projects;
  • Information about campus resources to support community engagement
  • Facilitated discussions

Come with questions; Come with ideas; or Just come to see what it's all about.
People to talk to, examples to follow, resources for reaching out...
Get help incorporating engagement into your research and your teaching or your education.
