In anticipation of Isabel  Wilkerson's October 22nd lecture, "The Warmth of Other Suns: Journeys of the Great Migration," sponsored by the Springfield Public Forum, local residents, including Miss Ruth B. Loving, Mr. Bradley Sr., and Dr. Kamil Hassan Ali,  of Westfield State University, will gather to recall their memories of the Great Migration and Springfield, Mass.

The Great Migration, from 1917 to 1970, was one of the defining forces of the Twentieth Century and changed America forever. The event, organized with the support of Lujuana D. Hood, Executive Director of the Pan African Historical Museum USA, will be moderated by Dr. Amilcar Shabazz, of the W.E.B. Du Bois Department of Afro-American Studies at UMass Amherst.

Please join us for an important evening of community debate and discussion. Free and open to the public.

Sponsored by American International College and the Springfield Public Forum.
