Retirement Party in Honor of Timothy Lang
September 24, 2017
Commonwealth Honors College Building
Join us as we celebrate the many contributions made by Timothy Lang to the Commonwealth Honors College and the university upon his retirement.
Lang is the director of the International Scholars Program, a lecturer in Commonwealth Honors College, and an adjunct professor in the history department. He holds degrees from Williams College, the University of London's School of Slavonic and East European Studies, and Yale University. Lang has directed various study abroad programs and is a historian of modern Europe who has published on topics about British intellectual history. Retiring this fall, he teaches a three-course sequence for the International Scholars Program and advises students on study abroad options.
Alumni of the International Scholars Program (ISP) are invited to reconnect with each other, celebrate Lang's legacy and meet the new director of the Office of National Scholarship Advisement (ONSA) who will be teaching the ISP curriculum in the future.
Please consider making a contribution to the Lang Global Scholars Award. This award will support an ISP student who is a member of Commonwealth Honors College, has financial need, and will study abroad during the 2018 academic year.
