Each night during the Juniper Summer Writing Institute and Institute for Young Writers, acclaimed faculty and writers in residence read from their new and selected work. On Wednesday, June 21, come hear Amy Leach, Lydia Millet and Arisa White.
The authors' books will be available for purchase from Amherst Books and readings will be followed by book signings. There is plenty of free parking and the event is in an accessible venue.
Leach is the author of Things That Are, published by Milkweed Editions, and has been honored with the Whiting Writers' Award and a Rona Jaffe Foundation Award.
Millet is the author of 11 works of literary fiction, most recently Sweet Lamb of Heaven. She has been a finalist for the National Book Critics' Circle and Los Angeles Times book awards, as well as the Pulitzer Prize.
White is a Cave Canem fellow and author of Hurrah's Nest, which won the 2012 San Francisco Book Festival Award for poetry. Her newest collection is You’re the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened.
