The department of music and dance welcomes Morihiko Nakahara, new assistant professor and director of orchestral studies, in charge of conducting the UMass Amherst Symphony Orchestra with a concert featuring cello soloist Edward Arron.

The program will include Brahms' Symphony No. 2, Dvořák's Cello Concerto in B minor and Mason Bates' Attack Decay Sustain Release.
