New Yoga Classes in the Theater Department
Beginning Monday, September 10, The UMass Theater Department is proud and happy to offer morning yoga classes taught by Eric Burri.
Eric is nothing less than an instutution at UMass. Over the past 18 years he's introduced yoga to hundreds of students, faculty and staff, and their community of family and friends.
"Yoga practice is beautifully both exactly what you think it is and also a complete surprise," says Eric. "It is supremely calming, exhilarating, easy to understand, challenging, effortless, and invitingly mysterious."
These classes are designed to welcome all levels of experience from complete beginners and experienced students.
Drop-ins are welcome; pre-registration is not required.
Class schedule: Monday and Wednesday mornings, 8:15 - 9:45 a.m.
Location: The Fine Arts Center, room FAC 204, upstairs beside the Curtain Theater

Eric Burri has studied and practiced yoga since 1994 and has been teaching since 2000. He began his yoga studies at UMass-Amherst with Marilyn Hart and continued his teacher training with Patty Townsend.
Eric’s practice and teaching unite the physical alignment details of Iyengar Yoga with the breathing and dynamic movement of Ashtanga Vinyasa and the emotional attentiveness of Kripalu Yoga. He favors a slow flow style of class that reliably guides you deeply into the postures following the natural rhythm of your breath.
He is a deeply knowledgeable teacher with an excellent understanding of sequencing that has developed over many years. Eric's teaching creates an atmosphere of exploration, reverence and self-respect.
