The third annual student-run  "March for Research" 5K Walk and Run raises money for the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes is a non-profit organization that operates all around the country. Their mission is to prevent birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality. All proceeds raised through participants and registration fees will be donated to the March of Dimes Foundation to support their research, some of which is being funded right on campus.

There are two main features of the event: a timed race for competitive runners and a walking option for those who would like to participate in the event without competing in the race. The top three male and female runners will be awarded medals accordingly and the top family team and student organization will receive plaques. All proceeds raised through participants and registration fees will be donated to the March of Dimes Foundation to support their research, some of which is being funded right on campus. As a bonus, all participants will receive a FREE March of Dimes t-shirt! Participants may either sign up beforehand on active.com, or in person at the event.

Registration starts at 12:00pm and the Walk and Run begins at 1:00pm.
