The UMass iCons (Integrative Concentration in Science) Program welcomes Jonathan Thon, co-founder of Harvard spin-off Platelet Biogenesis, who will lead an interactive workshop in the format of an iCons case study on the problem of blood shortages.

UMass iCons students come from 25 different majors in science and engineering, and join the iCons Program only after a highly selective admissions process. The students will tackle a problem introduced by Thon: the problem of what to do when blood supplies run out.

Refreshments will be served in the Integrative Learning Center Atrium, on the second floor at 6 p.m.  The program will begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp in the adjacent auditorium, S-131.

All are welcome to attend.

Directions:

The Integrative Learning Center is located in the center of campus, between the campus pond and the Campus Center.
