This exhibit highlights some of the hundreds of statements collected at UMass for the Stand Against Racism Pinterest campaign which began in the spring of 2013. The statements represent Courageous voices that refuse to ignore the pervasiveness of racism and seek to challenge paradigms of consciousness. Visitors will have the opportunity to contribute their own statements to the Pinterest campaign, participate in various interactive exercises, share their thoughts and ideas for building environments where oppression has no space and enter a raffle. The exhibit will open at noon on Tuesday, November 12 at noon with a speech by a representative of the NAACP Amherst Branch. Refreshments will be provided.
