The Five College Consortium presents "Old as New Again: The Art of Transcription," part of the Five College New Music Festival.  The program will include music by György Kurtág, Thomas Adès, Charles Wuorinen, Henri Dutilleux and Salvatore Macchia.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Department of Music and Dance is proud to host the fifth Five College New Music Festival, a celebration of the rich musical life of the Pioneer Valley both past and present. The Festival includes nearly fifty performers and composers, primarily current and former faculty members but also a few members of our student community as well as the community at large. The festival is coordinated by Elizabeth Chang, Salvatore Macchia and Eric Sawyer.
