Professor Luigina Mortari, Chair of the Department of Philosophy, Psychology and Pedagogy at the University of Verona and Adjunct faculty member in the UMass Department of Student Development will present the results of her intensive qualitative study of caring for self and others in nurses in Italy.

Directed by Amy Johnson and staged by Vernon Hartman, each performance features Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and Verdi's La Traviata, Act 1, sung and acted by UMass opera students.
