The UMass Amherst Libraries host an exhibit, “Pioneers of Mass Aggie: Founders, Builders, and Innovators.”  “Pioneers” is the first of three exhibits to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the University of Massachusetts.

The UMCA is pleased to announce an exhibition of work by the Los Angeles-based artist James Welling. This exhibition will focus on the photographer’s work in New England from 1970 to 2010.

The exhibit features fifteen 22”x24” images selected from VISUAL’s collection, each one captured during research at UMass Amherst.  Accompanying each image will be a description, in non-technical terms, that explains the science behind the picture.
