ESL        120       Advanced Intensive Grammar and Writing       6 credits

Focuses on the attainment of expert levels of second language grammar and writing proficiency. Develops the ability to use language meaningfully, accurately, and appropriately in a variety of genres. Helps students recognize and correct their own patterns of errors. Examines literary and expository texts written in English by professional multilingual writers as sources to develop critical text analysis and writing skills.

For advanced nonnative speakers of English, both undergraduate (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors) and graduate students as well as foreign and domestic exchange students.

Generally offered during only the fall semester.
