Statewide Educational Initiatives

	To encourage educators to use insects as vehicles to teach children science process skills as related to state curriculum framework objectives.
	To electronically link all participants.
	To establish a team of regional mentors that are proficient at using insects to teach science process skills.
	To assist or train educators in using various teaching technologies and how to use other websites relating to insects.
	To identify individual specialists with specific specialty areas related to using insects in the classroom or outdoors environments.
	To provide educators with information, resources, etc., relating to insects, other arthropods, and how to use them in the classroom or outdoors setting.
	To establish a hierarchical electronic network system to assist in answering specific questions about insects.
