In the fall of 2014, we welcomed Caroline Yang to the faculty. A specialist in Asian American and African American studies, she earned her B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley, her M.A. in English from Boston College, and her Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington.

Naous is a specialist in postcolonial literature and theory, Arab American literature, music and literature, and classical and modernist Arabic literature. In addition to receiving his Ph.D. from this department in 2007, he has an MA from UMass Boston and a BFA from the Boston Conservatory.
