Jabberwocky is the official, student-run undergraduate literary journal of the English Department. All UMass undergraduates are encouraged to submit their work.
Jabberwocky publishes poetry, fiction, non-fiction, visual media, and criticism. Criticism and non-fiction can be any original work you've written about literature or the humanities at UMass that you feel would be an important part of a literary journal by undergraduates. Visual media can be in any form: photography, painting, mixed media, and more. All we need is a high-quality digital image.
English and Art majors who are interested in joining the staff can apply in the fall semester. To apply for an editorial staff position for Spring 2019, please fill out the Google Form.
Submissions are accepted during the spring semester of each year.
The limits for submissions are no more than 6 poems per person and 3 pieces of fiction/criticism. There is no limit for visual media. No submission may be longer than 2,500 words.
Submissions and questions may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
