Ocean Vuong has been awarded the 2020 American Book Award in Fiction for his novel, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous.

Vuong was also awarded the NAAAP Pride Award from the National Association of Asian American Professionals. The NAAAP100 award is granted annually toluminaries in their respective field who, in addition to their considerable professional achievements, have made powerful contributions to elevating the AAPI cause.
