Fall 2011
Darren Edward Lone Fight and Casey Hayman: Awarded a $2,000 grant to bring Joy Harjo to campus from the UMass Fine Arts Council.
Amy Brady: CLIR/Mellon Library of Congress Fellowship for Dissertation Research in Original Sources.
Isabel Espinal: Invited by the US Embassy in Spain to give a talk on the topic ““Y ahora, ¿qué? El libro electrónico y el trabajo de los bibliotecarios en la biblioteca universitaria.” (“Now what? The e-book and the work of librarians in university libraries.”) In November of 2011, I participated in a panel in Murcia, Spain titled “: "El nuevo contrato social entre la biblioteca y los ciudadanos: supervivencia y reinvención.” (“The New Social Contract Between Libraries and Citizens: Survival and Reinvention.”)
