Associate Professor

Educated at Loyola University Chicago, Ph.D., 1999; University of Ottawa, M.A., 1991; Bishop's University, B.A. (Honours), 1988. Specialization in Old English, early medieval literature and Christianity, and historical linguistics.

He is author of  Race and Ethnicity in Anglo-Saxon Literature  (Routledge, 2003), and co-editor of Misconceptions about the Middle Ages  (Routledge, 2008). He is writing a book about English etymology.
