In the Fall of 2004, Provost Charlena Seymour provided the Psychology Department with funds to establish an EEG/ERP laboratory. The laboratory will add to the Department's cognitive neuroscience activities, now and future, and is intended as a multi-user facility, open to all Psychology Department members who are interested in doing research using EEGs and ERPs.

Jane Ashby and Charles Clifton, who manage the laboratory, selected and installed the equipment and support facilities listed below.

• 64 (72 total) channel BioSemi Active 2 data acquisition system, suppied by Cortech Solutions .
• 2 each medium, medium/large, and large 64-electrode caps
• 3 bundles 32 electrodes
• 1 Dell 370 Workstation, Windows & Linux, DVD burner, data analysis computer
• 1 Dell Dimension 4700 data collection computer (running ActiView)
• 1 Dell Dimension 4700 stimulus presentation computer (running e-Prime)
• 1 Dell D800 laptop computer, with Windows and Linux, for data analysis
• Various displays, including NEC Accusync 900 (160 Hz refresh rate)
• e-Prime 1.1 experiment running software
• BESA 5.1 data analysis software (preprocessing and ERP processing, not source analysis)
• EEPROBE data analysis software (Linux-based)
• MatLab + EEGLAB data analysis software
