The College of Education will host Pat Griffin ’80 EdD, a National LGBTQ and athletics educator, activist, UMass Amherst professor emerita and alumna, for a talk on The Changing Sports Climate for LGBTQ Athletes and Coaches: Successes and Challenges followed by a public reception on October 19.

Our scholarship reception highlights the generosity of our extraordinary donors and the excellence of our talented students. It also provides an opportunity for some of our scholarship recipients to meet the donors who made their scholarships possible and to talk with them about their futures in education.

you are invited to attend the unveling of a portrait of Dwight W. Allen commissioned by Dr. Timothy Taylor (Ed.D. 2004) as a gift to the College of Education and to honor the legacy of his mentor, the school's former Dean.

Honoring Distinguished Professor Ronald K. Hambleton
On November 9 - 10, 2012, the psychometric community will gather to honor one of its most influential, hard-working, and prolific members: Professor Ronald K. Hambleton. This conference will celebrate Professor Hambleton's contributions by gathering a community of his peers to discuss, reflect on, and salute his work over the years.
