Gary Stoner, Ph.D. Associate Professor. Background: Dr. Stoner received his Ph.D. at the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He has public school experience as both a practicing school psychologist, and as a supervisor of psychological services. In addition to his preparation in school psychology, Dr. Stoner has also completed post-doctoral training in applied behavior analysis and developmental disabilities. Current activities: Dr. Stoner serves on the editorial review boards of School Psychology Quarterly and School Psychology Review. He has co-edited the book entitled Interventions for Achievement and Behavior Problems, and is co-author (with George J. DuPaul) of ADHD in the Schools: Assessment and Intervention Strategies. Dr. Stoner is currently working on projects involving early intervention with childhood behavioral problems. Teaching interests: Applied behavior analysis, behavioral assessment, and problem-solving in school psychology. Research interests: Design, implementation and evaluation of interventions for achievement and behavior problems. |
