Research Interests: Developing more culturally sensitive quality (interview) methods, studying the aesthetic dimensions of everyday life, and studying the moral order of interaction. Research Interests: History and evolution of the African-American family life. Also, the development of a new identity scale to provide measures for at least six different black identity archetypes, ranging from black individuals who give low salience to race in everyday life, to black individuals for which race and culture is essential to identify.
