Guide to Educator Licensure Programs
Welcome to the University of Massachusetts Amherst Guide to Educator Licensure
programs. The programs included in this guide are for candidates interested
in licensure as teachers, administrators, counselors, school psychologists,

leaders in the schools that they serve.

practitioners is a campuswide effort. Subject matter knowledge is central to
all our professional preparation programs. Faculty from almost every School
and College at the University contribute directly to the knowledge base for
our candidates, offering a significant array of professional preparation programs.
