MTEL Preparation Workshops

Preparation workshops in several different formats are offered prior to educator test administration. Communication and Literacy Skills Test (CLS) workshops are offered by the School of Education, Educator Licensure Advisory Council, and the Division of Continuing Education. Please contact individual programs for Subject Matter Test preparation and information. Three types of workshops are offered by the School of Education:

• Overview Workshop
  • Designed for those seeking essential information and introductory discussion of the CLS portion of the MTEL.
  • One 2 ½ hour session
• Skills Development Multi-Session Workshop
  • Designed for those seeking intensive preparation for the Reading and Writing subtests of the CLS.
  • Four 2 hour sessions
• Skills Development Saturday Workshop
  • Designed to offer intensive preparation to those who cannot easily attend workshops offered during the week.
  • One 6-hour session

All workshop participants must preregister at the Educator Licensure Office(Room 130, Furcolo Hall, School of Education; Telephone: 413-545-2701) with payment by check or credit card by noon of the day prior to the workshop. A minimum enrollment is required for each workshop to be held.
