Galman and Valdiviezo named editors of A&E Quarterly

Sally Galman and Laura Valdiviezo have been named editors of Anthropology and Education Quarterly.

Associate professor Sally Galman and assistant professor Laura Valdiviezo, both of the Department of Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies, have been named editors of Anthropology and Education Quarterly, a peer-reviewed journal that draws on anthropological theories and methods to examine educational processes in and out of schools, in US and international contexts. Articles rely primarily on ethnographic research to address immediate problems of practice as well as broad theoretical questions. the journal is published by Wiley-Blackwell for the American Anthropological Association on behalf of the Council on Anthropology and Education. Galman says that she and Valdiviezo will begin accepting manuscripts in January 2013 and will take over the editorship role completely in July 2013.
