Sonia Nieto assumed post of Laureate Representative of the Kappa Delta Pi Executive Council

Professor Emerita Sonia Nieto assumed the post of Laureate Representative of the Kappa Delta Pi Executive Council. The Laureate Chapter she represents comprises today’s most eminent educators. It was established in 1924 to honor those who made outstanding contributions to the development of professional education. Previous Laureate members included Albert Einstein, George Washington Carver, and Eleanor Roosevelt. Nieto accepted the invitation to serve on the Executive Council for the 2012–2014 term, along with elected officers of that KDP legislative body, to help guide the strategic vision and initiatives for the international association and oversee its financial resources.
