A Message from the Director of Development

CONNECTING WITH ALUMNI

The most important aspect of the development work at the School of Education is connecting with our alumni. We do this by creating opportunities for alumni to become involved in various activities, by traveling across the country to meet with them, and by maintaining contact throughout the year.  We accomplish this ongoing connection by insuring that our alumni receive SOE publications, email and phone calls so they are kept up to date on what is happening at the School. Most importantly, we stay in touch so that alumni know that we are here to listen to their ideas, suggestions and aspirations.
 
INCREASING OUR VISIBILITY

We publish features about alumni in the SOE e-newsletters and our printed newsletters. You can read the newsletter online. Send updates and news about your work, your family and your projects to goodnews@educ.umass.edu.

IN SUMMARY

This year, our development activities helped to increase our contacts with alumni by 155% . We look forward to the coming year as we continue to expand and enhance the School of Education’s Development Office.
