The Center for Educational Assessment is a research and outreach unit in the School of Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. It is administratively located within the Department of Educational Policy, Research and Administration.

The Center conducts research in the area of educational assessment, carries out service and outreach activities, and strives to fulfill the land-grant mission of the University of Massachusetts.

The Center organizes itself around four major areas: educational assessment advances, national and international developments, program evaluation methods, and policy research and analysis in the area of educational assessment. Research, service, and outreach activities are carried out in all the areas.
