Events [1]
The Economics Department sponsors several events during the academic year to promote student success, intellectual debate, and faculty, undergraduate and graduate student research interests which include Workshops [2], Undergraduate Debate [3], and Sam Bowles Lecture [4].
The Phillip Gamble Memorial Lecture [5] is one of the most important annual lectures at the university. The Department of Economics has been sponsoring this annual presentation since 1995. The Gamble Lecture is given by prominent academics, often Nobel Laureates, and others, such as journalists who have contributed to, and advanced, important debates in the field of economics.
