At UMass Amherst, the Yuri Kochiyama Cultural Center and the Center for Multicultural Advancement and Student Success celebrates Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month in April. During APIAHM, YKCC organizes several events highlighting the achievements and contributions of Asian and Pacific American with cultural nights, educational activities for students, faculty and administration.
